Most brides choose the special people in their lives to be part of their wedding party. They choose best friends, sisters or nieces to share their day – people who have a close and long term relationship that is valued and appreciated.

How can you choose a gift that marks that special day, something that is valued by the matron-of-honour, the bridesmaid and even the flower girl? Pearls are the ideal gift – read on to find out more.

There are several reasons to choose pearls. Firstly, they are available to suit different budgets, and to suit all members of the bridal party. Secondly, they are a valued and prestigious gift, yet at the same time quite affordable. Bridesmaids can be given identical gifts. An appropriate gift is a strand of more affordable fresh-water pearls (7-8 mm diameter pearls) and perhaps a matching pearl bracelet.

Flower girls are often quite young but still value a small gift, such as an appropriately sized small necklace or bracelet. This would be a valued memento – perhaps it would be the first time that they ever were involved in a public event or receive any jewellery as a gift. Remember that children are a lot smaller than adults so you do need a child sized necklace, and this will use smaller pearls.
