Colour:
The colour of the pearls in your wedding jewelry deserves special consideration. The advantage of choosing pearl jewelry is that they come in a wide range of colours. You will find pearls in silver, cream, white, gold or pink colour. Different colours carry different meanings in different cultures. For example, white pearls symbolize purity while golden pearls are the symbol of wealth. It may be important to also consider that price of the pearl can vary depending on the rarity of the colour.
Shape:
Usually the best quality pearls are perfectly round and are free of surface flaws while lower quality pearls may have a slightly irregular shape. So take a close look at the shape of the pearls on the jewelry before purchasing it.
Size:
The size of the pearls in a wedding piece will determine the price. If you are wearing a pearl necklace for your wedding then it is the largest pearl that should be hanging at the center and the subsequent pearls get smaller as they move away from the center and towards the clasp of the necklace at the back of the neck. Jewelry made of larger pearls will cost more but will give you a more dramatic look. However, wedding jewelry made of smaller pearls, for instance a simple pearl necklace, can look equally gorgeous as well.
